Important brewery event info
Everyone will need to present a pass (TicketZone ticket, paper or electronic) to obtain entry to the BC Beer Awards. You should already have your 2 Booth Pouring Passes and any Industry Passes you purchased. They were emailed to you by TicketZone immediately after you paid for your booth. Winners* passes will be emailed to each individual brewery from Ticketzone no later than Oct 10th. We'll be sending them to the email address that you provided on your Winners RSVP. (*All winners will be notified by email by Chester Carey). If you have any troubles finding your tickets, please contact TicketZone directly here.
VIP Awards Hour!
We’ll be presenting the awards over the 1st hour of the event and during this time, we will only be allowing in the following ticket holders - Industry, VIP, Winners, Sponsors, Guest List, and Judges. All Early Bird or Regular Price General Admission tickets gain access at 5pm. (All pouring staff must be present and pouring for the entire event). Those holding the VIP/Industry passes arriving late will need to use the main entrance after 4:45pm. We will be doing a pre-check in at 3:30, so please make sure to have your tickets and IDs ready.
If you receive an email stating you are a winner, please be close to the stage by 4:15 :-)

Please submit Confirmation of Insurance evidencing Commercial General Liability, including Host Liquor Liability, with a limit not less than $5,000,000 with respect to serving at the 2019 BC Beer Awards & Festival to me. Any questions on how this works can be directed to your business insurance company.
Serving it Right
Please fill in this form in advance of the event with the Serving It Right #’s for those 2 people pouring at the event. This is mandatory. You must also bring a physical copy to the event.
Doc 60 and Manufacturing License
Please bring 2 copies of these - one for the front entry, to be given to your room liaison when you arrive, and one for your booth. Our liquor inspector will come around and ask to see, so please have handy.
1pm - 2:30pm. All booths must be set up by 2:30pm as we'll have a liquor inspector on site, and judging for the Brewer’s Challenge will commence at 2:45pm.
Bottles, kegs and casks are all welcome at this event! Empties must be taken away at the end of the night. Please do not give away bottled product (opened or unopened) to an event goer, as this can result in a fine from the liquor inspector, which you will be responsible for.
Enter through the front doors only. Upon arrival, you will be directed to your room (no need to wait in line with all your gear!) Please bring 2 copies of your doc 60. One for you to keep at your booth, and one to be given to your room liaison when you check in. You must also present your SIR card and have your booth set up by 2:30pm. If you are not bringing a Brewer’s Challenge beer, you may set up your booth by 3pm.

6-foot table, linen, token jar, ice, dump buckets and water jugs will be provided.
Please bring anything you wish to help brand your booth, however, note that nothing is to be attached to the walls. We welcome your own branded table or stand, as long as it does not exceed 6 x 3ft.
If you are bringing casks please arrive as early as possible in order to let settle.
Maximum 4 skus per booth. Smaller kegs are better and package product welcome. This includes your Brewers Challenge. Please, no kegs larger than 30L
As stated above, SIR is required for all those pouring. Please bring a paper or electronic copy to present at check-in.
We welcome you to sell your brewery merchandise on site, however, no glassware or growlers please.
Please remove all equipment at the end of the event, but not before. Ice can be dumped out back, up the stairs and away from the parking lot.
A dolly is recommended
Parking is free! Vehicles can be left overnight but left at your own risk.
Pour size it 5oz and is the bottom of the design on our 10yr Anniversary Commemorative glass. Please do not over pour. Tokens are to be taken for all samples, as per liquor regulations. At the end of the event, please return your token bucket to the token booth for weighing. Each token bucket will be numbered and this will correspond to your brewery.
No drinking while working or behind your booth. You will be immediately removed from the event site and any fine will be your responsibility. Sampling is allowed, and only in front of your booth and before 3:55pm
So many rules, but we promise it’ll be a fun day!
If you have registered to submit beer for the Brewers Barrel Aged, please have your beer set up no later than 2:30pm. Judging commences at 2:45pm. Kegs are preferred, however, casks, cans and bottles are all welcome. Do allow your cask time to settle and bring the necessary equipment. Also, a reminder to fill in your info for Brewer's Choice. The Barrel Aged requirements:
The beer needs to have been barrel aged for a minimum of 4 months! No oak chipping, full on barrels please!
The beer must fit into BJCP category 33 Wood Beer (A or B) and be released for sale to the public between September 1st 2018 and September 1st 2019
Kegs or package - please no casks this time around!
You must have a booth at the event in order to participate.
It must be brought to the event and registered in advance by completing this form. Judging will take place on site and start at 2:30pm. Full event details will be sent out a month prior to the big day.
Payment will be based on a token split, with $1 per token going to each brewery. We will be e-transferring this year, and Ryan will be in touch to confirm email addresses. Please provide 2 copies of your printed doc 60 for the product you bring to the event, along with your complete mailing address.
CBC Vancouver will be sponsoring the People's Choice Award for the best beer or cider at the event, as voted by those in attendance. Voting will be done at our token booth in Room B.
We kindly request that you fill in this form so that we have your info lined up and ready to go for voting at this year's BC Beer Awards. The CBC People's Choice is voted by those in attendance of the 2019 BC Beer Awards. The winner will be announced after 8pm on Saturday, Oct 19th. This is only open to those with booths at the event. We expect rain, as it is Vancouver. If anyone is able to bring a tent to set up outside to help keep folks dry, it would be much appreciated. We need 6-8 max!
And to state the obvious again, 100% NO DRINKING behind your booth. We're expecting the liquor inspector, as with all of our events. If a fine is received, you will be responsible for paying it.
The main presentation will begin around 4:30pm, and will be hosted by Stephen Quinn of the CBC. They will also be presented on the screens in the 2nd room. And just a friendly reminder, let’s keep the chatter down during the awards so the winners can hear their names being called and we can all congratulate them on their way to the stage.

We’re very excited to be presenting the 3rd Annual Creative Industry Awards. Thanks to all who registered in advance! These awards will be presented later in the evening, along with our Rookie of the Year, CBC People’s Choice and Brewery of The Year.
